LuBeC 2024 | 9 and 10 October – Lucca | WINDS OF CULTURE
CONCEPT AND THEMATIC FOCUS
LuBeC is the annual meeting organized in Lucca by Promo PA Foundation and supported by local institutions, the Region of Tuscany, and the Italian Ministry of Culture to promote cultural-based development as a boost for growth, competitiveness, and innovation in Italy and its territories.
For its XX edition, LuBeC will be “WINDS OF CULTURE”, a title that evokes the role of culture as a driver of change and innovation. The “winds” represent the currents that push us toward the future, symbolizing the dynamism and ability of culture to positively influence society, the economy, and innovation in order to achieve the goals of the 2023 Agenda for sustainability. “Winds” also alludes to the 20 years of LuBeC’s experience, and even more so, to the youthful maturity of those entering the workforce, bringing new demands and energy. In both present and past culture, they can find the fertile ground necessary to respond to the major challenges we face today.
In this context, the event aims to explore how culture, with its osmotic nature, integrates with new technologies and innovative economic models, positioning itself as a public-private laboratory of ideas and projects where culture becomes a key element for progress and sustainability.
The initiative is structured around thematic workshops that integrate discussions on policies, presentations of research, and co-design laboratories. This format gives even more prominence to LuBeC’s many partners, offering visibility and strength to a growing commitment to jointly support the process of enhancing both the strategic and technical skills of the public and private organizations and institutions involved in the ongoing transformation.
